a spring lookbook

Hello! I finally got around to writing this post! I’m sorry that it took so long to get up haha.

I am so happy that it is finally summer! Time for picnics, beach visits, sun, working on my tan, wearing cute clothes, star gazing, watching sunsets and so much more! I’m very very very excited! I’m looking forward to writing more blogposts!

Anyways, here are three summery / springy ( wow that sounds weird ) outfits!

Hello! Here’s a quick look-book. I’m going for a more vintagey look (i don’t even think thats a word!) I have been thrift shopping quite a lot and have found some good deals!

I have been fairly busy with school, and haven’t had the time to post. Midterms are almost over, so expect more posts soon!

I am also working on “quality over quantity.” I’m trying to make posts that I enjoy and spent time on, instead of posting lots, with little effort.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little post! x x x  Jasper

fashion things i love

My style has changed a lot. Like a lot. I went from wearing brightly coloured clothes, to only wearing clothes from Garage. Now don’t get me wrong, I still own clothes that are neon, I just don’t really wear them. And I still shop at Garage, but my taste in clothing has changed. I don’t know how I would describe my style right now, so I chose a few pieces that I am loving. Enjoy xx

I don’t really know how to describe these tops, but they are the two black ones. I love how the one in the bottom right corner can be tied up. It is so simple and cute! I also really love the dress and its pattern. This pattern has been really popular lately.

I have been really loving mom jeans. I love the colour of them and they look super comfortable!

I really really really like that pair of vans. They are so simple, yet make a look. I am thinking about getting a pair, because I know that I will wear them.

I love fjallraven kanken backpacks so much. I was going to get one for school, but it wouldn’t fit all my books! If I were to get one, it would probably be black, navy, or grey. I also really like the pink one, but I feel like I wouldn’t wear it as much!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this little post!

this weeks favourites

Screen Shot 2017-07-18 at 7.03.28 PM.png

Hello lovelies! Since you all (hopefully) enjoyed last weeks favourites post, I decided to post another!

If you guys would like to see more of these blog posts, leave a comment down below 🙂

First up is my ” wreck this journal” for Indigo. It cost $20.99 CAD. For those that don’t know what a wreck this journal is, it is a book with instructions on each page on how to destroy it. I decided instead of wrecking it, to make it more of an art journal. I love this book so much and I definitely recommend it.

Next is my polaroid camera. I have the Instax Mini 8, in the colour of “baby blue” It cost $100 CAD and the images turn out great. The film is relatively expensive, over $1 an photo, but the quality makes up for it. (btw I drew on the polaroid with sharpie)

This highlighter was featured in my “whats in my travel makeup bag” post. This is one of my favourite highlighters I have ever had. It is called baked highlighter by e.l.f. in the shade of moonlight pearls. I absolutely love this amount of shine that it contains. If that makes sense ahaha.

Next up are my Adidas Superstars featured in my summer ootd blogpost. They are really nice and I like that you can dress them up or down.  They are also super comfortable and they are simple, so they can go with anything.

I purchased this book light at Indigo, and I absolutely love it. It says “not all those who wander are lost” and it has a clip so you can attach it to your favourite book or use it as a bookmark. I think it cost $12.99, but I’m not 100% sure.

Those are this weeks favourites!

Thank you so much for reading.

If you enjoyed this post and want more weekly favourites, like this post and leave a comment. Thanks 🙂

whats in my travel makeup bag

Screen Shot 2017-07-18 at 6.53.50 PM.png

Hello lovelies! Since I am on holidays, I decided to share whats in my travel makeup bag. These are my go to makeup items, and most can be purchased at your local drugstore.

This is my travel makeup bag. It is a pretty magenta colour and is very plain and simple. I’m pretty sure I purchased it at Urban Outfitters a couple years ago, but I’m not 100% certain. I am probably going to buy another one soon, because this one is pretty old.

The first item is the Fit Me Powder by Maybelline New York. I use this on a daily basis and I love it so much! I use it to set, and it leaves your skin looking matte and even. It costs $9.99 CAD, which is a great deal.

The next thing is the by e.l.f.. It comes with a pink blush (left side) and contour/bronzer (right side) They are both of great quality and I really recommend e.l.f. products as they are very cheap. It cost $4 CAD.

I use this e.l.f. concealer on a regular basis. It provides full coverage and is of great quality. It cost $3 CAD and I purchased it in the shade “ivory”

The next item is the baked highlighter by e.l.f. in the shade of moonlight pearls. This is such a great highlighter, but I ended up using a q-tip to apply it because I forgot my brush. Haha.

I have several eyeshadow palettes, but this one is by far my favourite. It is the Tartelette Tease Clay Palette (REVIEW)  I bought this palette for $30 CAD at Sephora and I absolutely adore it!

Next, is the Collossal Volume Express Mascara by Maybelline New York. This is my favourite mascara and it works so well. It makes your eyelashes look so much longer! It cost $11.99 CAD.

I use this beauty blender. It is plain black and works really well! It is pretty simple and there is not much to say about it.

I brought these three makeup brushes. The first one (far left) is for my brows, the middle one is contour and blush, and the last one is also for my brows.

The final item is this eyelash curler. I bought it from sephora and it is silver.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed!

p.s. I forget to take a cover image, so I decided on that one haha.

Last night I stayed up late, perched on my window sill, watching lightning light up the sky. It’s funny how something so small and simple can make me so happy. The low rumble of the thunder was calming, almost reassuring. I sat there, gazing up at the sky, waiting for a bolt of lightning to strike the earth. I love how the lightning is small, yet so powerful as it lights up the night sky. When I was in Italy, there was a huge thunderstorm. Believe whatever you want, but I swear there was at least one bolt of lightning every three seconds. I watched the storm with my family from the balcony of our hotel. I remember how the lightning lit up the sky and how we counted how many bolts we could see at once. Since our hotel was on a mountain, we could see the whole entire sky. It was so amazing and for me, one of the most memorable moments of the trip. That is when I first became fascinated with storms. Over the year, I have spent hours watching them.

Sorry that this was a shorter blog post. Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for reading

OOTD | summer

Hello lovelies! Today I am going to be sharing my summer outfit with you guys. I am so happy that it is finally summer, because it is another excuse to go shopping haha. I recently went shopping and decided to bring you guys and outfit of the day. Enjoy!

I decided to go for a basic look, so I paired a striped tank top with a pair of high waisted denim shorts. I added my Adidas Superstar’s and I think that it made the look! You can easily pair this outfit with a cute ball cap or sunglasses for accessories.

I bought this shirt at Garage and I absolutely LOVE it! It has a high neck, which I think is super cute. This shirt cost $16.95 CAD, and I think that it is worth it! I really like how the back is a straight cut.

I purchased these denim shorts called the “Cool Blue Premium Retro High Waist Short” for $42.95 CAD. I like them because they are semi distressed and because they are high waisted.

Next, are my Adidas superstars. I absolutely love them! They are so comfy and you can dress them up or down. I think they cost $90 CAD, but I’m not 100% sure.

Thank you so much for reading! Leave a comment down below if you would like to see more OOTD’s. Also follow my pinterest if you want 🙂 Thanks!!

travel essentials

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Hello everyone! I am going on vacation tomorrow! Of course while I’m travelling I will share many photos with you. Here are some items that I cannot travel without!

This one is a no brainer. I use my phone to take and edit all of my photos. I also use it to upload them to Instagram and other social media’s. I also need to use my phone to navigate around!

I will use my laptop to write my blog posts and upload my photos each night. And of course there is Netflix and Youtube haha. I also use my laptop for Pinterest, which I have been really addicted to recently.

polaroid & film

I love the way the images turn out on a polaroid. I have the Instax Mini 8 and it is a must bring on trips. I also like to bring along a few packs of film, just incase I run out.

Another necessity is my journal. I try to write in it each day, but so far I have not lived up to that goal.

a good book

You can never go wrong when you have a great book in your suitcase. I am currently reading An Abundance of Katherine’s by John Green, and it has been really good so far.

You cannot go on vacation without bringing along sunscreen, especially if you are going somewhere hot.

This was a shorter blog post, but I hope you enjoyed! I have planned out several blog posts for the next couple weeks. Thanks for reading!
