what i eat in a day as a vegetarian – a collab!

hello lovelies,

i am obsessed with food, and making it! after cooking up a delicious meal, you feel so proud and satisfied, oh and you get to eat it! today i had some great food and i am going to share some photos with you! i didn’t take photos of some of my snacks and desserts, sorry!

this is the perfect meal to start my day with! its so refreshing, nutritious & delicious! oh hey, that rhymes!!! i absolutely LOVE making smoothies!

for a snack before lunch i had chai tea and an oatmeal cookie. it was the perfect combination! the chai tea mix is from starbucks and is the best!!

for lunch i had this delicious toast thing? i’m not sure what to call it. it was so delicious & super easy to make!! after lunch i had some trail mix, and before dinner i had a peach & blueberries!

and finally for supper i had pesto pizza! on top was arugula and cheese! yum! for dessert i had a scoop (or two) of matcha ice-cream!

four things with jasper and frankie

hello lovelies! i hope you all are having a great sunday. i’m sorry that i haven’t posted in a while, my summer has been full of activities and i haven’t managed to blog as frequently as i originally hoped. however i have some exciting posts planned!! anyways, today i am collaborating with one of my favourite bloggers frankie over at frankiedotb. i love her blog so so so much! the design is beautiful, her photos are so lovely, and her posts are so thoughtful and original! she blogs about fashion, food, design & so much more! go check out her blog here!

anyways, we thought we would share four things that we are loving right now, here are mine!

i have recently been really into magazines, my favourites being frankie and uppercase. here are a few of my favourite pages from each.

a few days ago i picked up my first frankie magazine, and fell in love! the design is so amazing, the illustration is gorgeous, and the articles are so great, i just love it! for the longest time i thought that you couldn’t purchase them in canada, and was so jealous of all my friends in australia, england, america and new zealand that could read them. then i went to london drugs (a a little grocery store in canada ) and found one! i was so happy.

uppercase is full of beautiful illistrations, creative crafts, gorgeous products, and articles mainly focused on art & design. it has so many unique craft ideas and i feel so inspired when i read it! i really love the water colours ( featured in the third picture ) and am planning to try and paint some similar to them!!

my second pick is my july playlist. i am in love with each and every song found on this playlist. here are a few favourites…

coffee by beabadoobee  –  such a beautiful song, the lyrics are so thoughtful and the song is really well constructed. i love this artist so much, her songs are so creative!

b.o.m.d. by clairo  –  this song is so clever and absolutely gorgeous, i love any song by clairo

afraid by mimi  –  i have been watching mimi on yt for quite a while now and i was so happy when she started writing music! i love her voice, its so beautiful

my next favourite is this outfit, its super casual, but still cute. my top is from brandy melville, and its amazing. i’ve worn it so many times and i just love it so much! you can’t really tell from the photos, but it has pretty little white flower detailing all over it. i thrifted these shorts. they were only $2! originally they were mom jeans, but i cut them and made them into shorts. i love the wash of these. and finally, my shoes are from converse. they are plain white & really comfortable.

my morning routine – a collab!!

heyo!! i’m back with another collab, this time with the lovely Isla from islaren11.wordpress.com. her blog is so stunning, i definitely recommend checking it out, and she is such a nice person! i loved collabing with her! anyways, we thought we would show you our morning routines, i have been wanting to do a morning routine for the longest time and have always loved reading them! also this is what my day looks like on the weekend, i wish i woke up at this time on school days!

also i chopped off most of my hair not too long ago, you can see it in the last photo. i loveee it!

anyways, today was a pretty good day, i went for a very long bike ride with my dad, then played some tennis! my morning was pretty chill though, i didn’t do too much, but it was nice. enjoy  x x x

i woke up quite early today, at 8:15. i lay in my bed for a while and checked out my social media. i made an instagram account for my blog, and have been posting on there regularly, you can check it out here! i also went on snapchat and vsco for a while.

for breakfast i made this delicious naan bread thing. i’m not sure what to call it. it has peppers and spinach on top! yum. i shared the recipe on my blog, you can find it here. it was so good, i eat this pretty much everyday for breakfast.

since i was going out today, i decided to wear a tiny bit of makeup as well as doing my everyday skincare routine which consists of my washing my facing with soap, toning it using a lovely toner from lush and finally moisturizing it. i don’t usually wear makeup, if i do its rather minimalistic. today i used my cloud paint blush in the shade puff from glossier and my birthday balm dotcom!

and this is my outfit! my pants are from h&m, my shirt is from garage, and my jeam jacket is from forever 21. its a really comfortable outfit and i love it!

some recipes – a collab!

Hello! I am back with another collab, this time it is with the lovely Molly from Molly and Moo! She posts about life, food, room tours (my favourite!!!), and so much more! I love her blog, and I’m sure you will too!

We decided to show you guys some of our favourite recipes! I love these dishes so so so much, and I recommend giving them a shot! They are relatively easy to make, none of them will take longer than 20 minutes to make! I have posted a blogpost similiar to this one, but it only featured breakfasts. You can read it here.

visiting china town

Hello! Spring break has officially started and I am loving it! Today, my friend and I went out for brunch and we walked around downtown and chinatown. It was a bit of a gloomy Tuesday since it was raining, but we had fun and took many many photos. I’m also learning Mandarin at school, so I decided to incorporate it into my post!

First we went to Wanna Waffle, where I had the best Belgium waffle ever! It made me miss the waffles I had while travelling in Belgium. It had whipped cream and a bunch of delicious berries!

After, we popped into a couple of lovely stores, I didn’t end up buying anything. We then walked around the city, admiring the beautiful buildings!

Then we went to Chinatown, which was lovely! We walked through several different alleys with beautiful lights!

what I eat in a day

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all are having a great weekend so far! Today I will sharing four delicious meals with you guys.  Keep in mind that I don’t eat this everyday and sometimes I don’t eat as healthy.

01. cinnamon & apple oatmeal

For breakfast I had chai tea and cinnamon apple oatmeal with maple syrup. First I boiled apples in a pot, then added oats and cinnamon. It is quite easy to make as well as super delicious!

 

02. smoothie

For a snack, I made myself a peach, mango, and strawberry smoothie. I added the fruits listed above, greek yogurt, and orange juice.

 

03. vegan wrap

For lunch I made this delicious wrap. Inside a whole grain tortilla, I added cilantro, avocado, and tomatoes. If you want a more protein packed lunch, you could add eggs or meat.

 

04. salad & grilled cheese

And finally, for dinner I made a small salad and a grilled cheese. To make the salad, I used baby arugula, pea sprouts, and lemon juice. I added avocado on the side. After supper, I had a cookie, which was delicious!

* For snack, I also had some almonds and an apple with peanut butter, I just forgot to take photos.

smoothie bowl recipe pt. 2

Today I will be sharing a recipe for a mango raspberry smoothie bowl.  My last smoothie bowl recipe was one of my most popular posts, so I decided to make another one! love eating (or is it drinking?) smoothie bowls for breakfast, because they are super healthy and tasty and take little time to make. Also, sorry this one doesn’t look as pretty as my last one. Haha

Take out your blender. I used my Magic Bullet. I not sure what type it is, but I am really liking it, and recommend it.

Add your smoothie ingredients. I used frozen mango, frozen raspberries, and mango/peach juice. If you want you can add yogurt.

Next, you blend together until smooth. Then pour in a bowl or glass.

Gather up your ingredients. I added strawberries, kiwis, sliced almonds, hemp harts, and honey. yum. (if you want a vegan option, skip the honey)

Assemble your smoothie bowl. Add the larger ingredients first, in my case, the strawberries and kiwi. Add hemp harts and sliced almonds. I also drizzled honey to make it a bit sweeter.
